Let’s start with the meat of it: DeAndre Yedlin is all but an AS Roma player. The deal is lacking only the dotted i’s and whatnot. He will remain on loan to Seattle for the rest of the season and then may go out on loan again to another Italian club next year. I should have another detail or two at some later point.

Well, the hell is, for the first time that I can be sure, I was led onto a landmine. It seems like they saw me coming and put out a lie for me to step on. I won’t go into any more specifics about it all, because I refuse to cause troubles for any of my birdies. I suppose I could or even should be pissed, but what can ya do? I got a few too many things too right too often and here we are. So I’ll take it as a compliment.
In any event, sorry for the rotten info. I’m glad I was able to correct this quickly, before everyone and their mother was reporting it and I would look like a complete doof. Instead of a half-doof, like now.
