I have a morsel of a possible goodie for you. Not sure where this murmur originated, but I can confirm that sudden Ameri-philes FC Utrecht have made contact over apparent Stoke City outcast Brek Shea. Do not get ahead of the game, though, because I cannot yet say which type of transfer these discussions cover, nor am I sure how hot the flirtation is… not yet, anyway. I will get a report up at MLSS whenever I get a fuller picture of the entire scene.
And of course, I will insist this would be a perfect move for him – both from a soccer and an art standpoint. Yeah, for reals on both of his big endeavors.
Either way it goes, I gotta say it is delightful to see the major upswing in USMNT attacker players and prospects looking into an Eredivisie home in the last few years. It is about time.
