Sorry, Freiburg fans, but the flag goes up for the second time in a month. As much as Kicker may think it is so, I have again been assured by those who would know that the Bundesliga club is not chasing Matt Besler.
In fact, these folks are pretty confused, as Freiburg are not even looking for a center back. Furthermore, I am told, any club able to snare the US defender will need to break the Sporting KC transfer fee record.
So who is in the chase? Well, I am about 98% and 70% certain of two English suitors in particular… but you will just need to wait a teensy bit longer for me to spill.
